one of my biggest inspirations has been and still is one of the original queens of food blogging, joy the baker. one of my favorite posts she writes every year is her summer bucket list. there’s something about making a list of things you want to do during the summer that just hits different than, say, making a new year’s resolution. maybe it’s the high of making a list and crossing things off it. maybe it’s that summer just hits different in general.
last year i had a list of only three things and still managed to accomplish none of them! (including: wearing my favorite lacy blue jumpsuit which i sadly never found the right occasion for, and reading war and peace which is in theory doable after you realize that to read it over the course of a summer you only have to read about 14 pages a day but i guess not doable enough for me) this year’s list is going to be a little longer but hopefully a little easier, such as wearing a fun blazer instead of a fancy jumpsuit, and reading a 400 page book instead of a 1200 page one. here is this year’s list, followed by some things and some stuff for you, in a slightly different format than usual. thank you for reading!
summer 2024 bucket list:
go to the thai street food market in northern virginia
wear the colorful fruit-patterned blazer i bought a few years ago and have never worn
get the fullmetal alchemist tattoo i had planned on getting in 2022 to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of me watching fullmetal alchemist and now here we are 2 years later and i still haven’t done it!!!
perfect the pizza ice cream sundae. (don’t worry about it)
try to recreate the watermelon noodles from mokbar based solely on this video
finally read AT LEAST the first book in tamsyn muir’s locked tomb series
what’s on your summer bucket list?
